I've been doing a bit of reading around the 'net and can not really find any recommendations on tank sizes. I see 2 quart, 1 gallon, 2.5 gallon, etc. tanks for sale with Coolingmist, Devil's Own and Ebay (all the same tank it appears).

A little about my setup. I am running a single 700 cc/min meth injector up to 80% duty cycle at full boost (15 to 20 psi on a T03/04E 50 trim). My fueling is with 6 440 cc/min (bench flowed at 500 cc/min though) Supra 7MGTE injectors.

I will take the car to the strip a few times a year as well as track events. My gas tank holds 14 gallons.

With everyday driving, getting into a few times, etc., can I expect a 2 quart tank to last one fuel tank?

Your recommendations would be appreciated.

See you on the road.

lot of other variables are missing
intercooler , fuel , engine design, hp (weight and projected et) will determine how much meth youll need to keep knock at bay

we typically flow in 10% to as much as 20% of what we use for fuel but more or less boost will need different mounts of meth, i run a M10 and a M15 nozzle (thats 25 lb/ hr at 100psi) , your fuel pressure will vary what your 700cc flows (they are rated 700c at 45psi), i assume your meth injector duty is the same as your others , if this is the case you will have 560cc meth/ 2400cc fuel or roughly 23% meth injected ( assuming 45psi meth pressure )

not sure what your engine is or what its heads are made of , but for us with iron heads and block at 20 psi with good intercooler we need very little alky as we can almost get by with 93octane at that boost level if timing is low enough , higher timing will need more alky , alum heads a little less , smaller intercooler needs more meth
so 23% might be way too much

now for how much tank you need , that goes back to how much alky you need and also depends on your idea of occasional wot use , we typically use 1-2oz of meth per second under wot and none is used when not into the boost. I run almost a 1 gallon tank , some can go a week, some a month some a season with that much . i seem to use a little more than most i talk to :) , i can use a tank and then some in just one day at the track

Ok, a little bit more about my car.

It is a 2.7L inline 6 with an iron block and aluminum head. Compression is 7.4:1 running dished pistons.

It is intercooled with a 24x12x3 intercooler. IAT's are typically around 100 degrees in the manifold.

The best gas I have available is California 91 octane, which is crap. I've been cutting it with 100 and 104 unleaded at 50/50 to keep the detonation monster away. I lost two HGs while tuning due to detonation.

The last time I was on the dyno I put down 320 ft-lbs to the wheels at 15 psi. I was detonating at the time as well. With 20 psi, I am expecting around 360ish ft-lbs to the wheels.

I want to run as large a tank as possible, but I am space constrained in my engine bay. There is plenty of room around the engine, just not on the inner fenders or firewall (at least enough for a tank larger than 2 quarts).

Typical consumption on a similar engine is about .5 ounces per second at WOT. Now the question is how aggressive you drive the car.. this determines how much you'll need. If your always beating on it.. then you will need a lot of storage.

I drove from Tampa to BG KY and back and used a gallon, 1600 miles. I have driven at the track less than 4 miles and used a gallon :D
