Thats moving for a big boat.

Yeah I'm pretty sure it weighs 3500-3600lbs so it aint no light weight!

Looks like once they get the rear suspension dialed in and the car hooking better it will pick up even further..

Wagon like that can be dialed in to dead hook opposed to the wheelspin he was seeing in the video..

Do not take that as a dig, just an observation from someone who ran a BB powered 65 malibu wagon dragcar..
:)

Not sure what wheelspin you are seeing?

I did not see tire spin and was standing right next to the rear on that, and all his passes in Salem. As I remember the 60' time was 1.26 on that run!

First time the car has been run since the Nats in 1999 and the trans was rebuilt on Friday before this pass on Sunday. Still needs some tuning on shift points and tuning, which will be done at the Las Vegas West Coast Nationals this october.

Yeah I kinda figured the car must've got a real good 60' considering it ran 8.99 at "only" 148mph.... Usually from what I've seen a car running 148mph will be in the low 9's with a 1.3x 60' so I knew this car had to be somewhere in the 1.2x range because it did not run 150+mph on that 8.99 pass.... It looks like Mike did tame the beast some because I seem to remember seeing some pics of the car doing some nasty wheelies:D

I went back and looked again. In the second video, off the hit, the car clearly "rolls" the tires a good round. It's not much.

Like I said, just an observation. The car is sick, I love it.

What gearing is in the car. That could also explain the mph vs. ET.
Considering most of us are used to seeing turbo cars that mph like mad vs. "drag" cars that 60ft and ET, but mph is quite as high.

Best of luck making it even faster!!
:D

Maybe his pitcrew needs some glasses.. Hehe.. J/K man..
