Quick question, what is the best way to do this mod? I know there are kits from some vendors, but I did it on my Corvette with about $6 in parts from Napa.

Thanks---Power Plate coming too!

there are 2 lines to and from the TB along the coolant rail. disconnect the small one and take it off, then disconnect the TB side of the big one and route it back onto the smaller ones old nipple. i did it in less than 5 mins. and it was free:)

I thought that looked like the easiest approach.

It is different than my Corvette where one line came from the heater core and the other went into the intake.

Thanks, I'll do it when I install my Power Plate and clean my TB while I'm there.

Is their an advantage or a gain in doing this mod?

with the 195* coolant temps my car normally runs, hot coolant would run through the TB heating it up if not for the bypass. good for cold areas where the TB could freeze but useless here in Tampa w/100* days. some say it adds power some say no. i did it b/c it was free and b/c it was on the mods to run 11's list on www.gnttype.org :)
