TB cable problem

I am just finishing up the install of the 87 style intake from JS

I have an 87 TB cable but it is too short. It holds the butterfly open a bit when I mount it up to the TB. I have the 87 cable bracket but it was sold with the bottom mount cut off. I was told it was for the cruise control - which I dont care about.

The top seems to be for the TV cable (trans) and the middle one for the throttle - the bottom for cruise.

Can anyone help me here ? Am I missing something ? Dont have an 87 to look at to compare it to....

Can anyone e-mail me a pic of the proper cable hookup ?

top fwd is tranny cable,the middle is for cruise cable and lwr is for throttle. you seem to need the part of the brkt youre missing.

im sorry I see the top of brkt is cut. you got the holes in brkt needed

I cut the top part out there...kinda like a V shape - it was in the way of my wastegate nipple a little.

The bottom is cut off.....so what u are saying is that I have the TV cable and the cruise fitting...the lower one is throttle - im missing that.

right ?

Is the throttle cable mount ahead of the cruise cable one ?

Im short like about 1 1/4" or so.

Throttle cable is mounted fwd of cruise cable. throttle cable is lwr bottom hole of brkt. Cruise cable goes just above throttle attach area,but @ an inch aft. and tv cable from trans is the most fwd attach area on brkt.
