Aug 22, 2010 #3 salvageV6 Daily Driver Joined May 25, 2001 Messages 20,990 There's more than one failure mode. I'd say a third of the time it's open circuit or shorted wiring to the thing. It must be run properly to not pinch or get stressed. The rest of the time it's a bad solenoid.
