Hi guys. I've got a buddy who's getting rid of a TCI streetfighter trans and I've got a few questions. First, he's got an '85 motor, will the trans work with my '87? Second- should I just get mine rebuilt, or go ahead and buy this unit outright? The trans is new, never went into his car (project) and he only wants $800 for the whole shebang including a 2800 stall TC. My trans isn't in real bad shape, just needs to be freshened up a bit. I plan on doing a rebuild this summer, but if I can pick this one up it'll save me the trouble. What's the general opinion of TCI transmissions? Any advice is welcome here, guys. Thanks in Advance!

Board member Greg Friend works at TCI and is available here for trans tech.

I would say that shows that they are on the ball and in the know when it comes to the 200-4R.
