TE-62 old stlye with 63 exh housing who is running one?

I bought this from my brother. I has a new updated 180deg barring and they said this is an old turbo. Its new and rebuilt and I ran it for two weeks then 2nd gear blew. What I am really want to know is what combos are you guys running with this turbo? How do you like it?

I like mine just fine...see combo below. Consistent 11.5-11.6's with 1.7x 60' and some wheelspin. Good launches and I'll be at 11.2's.

I may move up thought to TE-45a.

In 3rd at 2800. I am only running 16-17 # right now. How much boost are you running to get those numbers?

27 psi with VP C16....and fairly rich tune. Don't want ANY knock or detonation.

I loved my 62.I am currently in the middle of swapping to a 45a because the 62 needed a rebuild.Last time at the track was promising.
With a VERY soft launch(2.1 60') i went 12.02@118 mph at 21 lbs of boost.
Next(and last) pass i decided to turn it up to 24 lbs.----launched hard(1.7) ---23 lbs. thru 1st,24 in second, and then i had massive boost creep and before i could get out of it---it went to 28 lbs and blew the oil seals.It still went 11.90@90 mph getting out of it at 3/4 track.

I guess long story short---i really like that turbo and if you have the conv. for it---the .82 housing feels GREAT.
