I posted in trans section but no one replied. I was hopping that someone with this trubo could tell me what stall they are useing and how its working out for them.

please let me know what your combo is also and 1/4 times. If you could post which conv you are running that would be great. Finding a used vig conv is almost inposible, must mean somthing good.
Thanks for any info.

Chris

te-62 here. I run th400 though, stall is around 3k. times in sig off foot brake and my car still has more left in it. spool is pretty quick so its not too bad on the street.

Mines a Neal Chance 3000+ but only have got to 2400 with the ebrake. The previous owner said the reason why that is, is because of the cam my car makes the stall not go to 3k. This is what the owner of Neal Chance told him. The turbo spools alright quick. My car has a vacuum leak or exhaust leak since my bLMs shoot quick up, so that's gonna hurt spool up, but ive ridden in a fellow TR that had a TE62 and somewhat the set up as mine and his spool up was QUICK!

Also, you need a 3000+ stall for this turbo.

My TA62 liked the 3200 stall 10.5" single disk lockup protorque converter.

I would get a 3500 foot stall ( not flash stall ) if it has a Percision .63 Turbine housing. I have been 10.30's with this turbo.BUT I had a .82 Turbine Housing on mine and had to use a 3800 stall.

Just my .02 worth

My converter is listed in my sig., spools really well. Foot stalls at about 3200. 63 housing. Car is mostly street driven but has great power, especially above 15 psi.

been checking dif converters makers

I think the redstripe is getting a bit tired of the #24 I was handing it. I looked at the vig conv. But is out of my range as far as price goes. My Bro swears by it but he runs flat 10s. I would like somthing that will handle the up grades later like heads and new short block. I am also looking for a l/U so I can get some decent gas milage on the road. The 2800 seems to be ok but the spool but its a dog off the line. What do you guys mean by foot stall? I always thought that the stall was one set rpm range. I would like to get a med price converter don't know if anyone make a decent mid rage one. If you can point me in the right direction that would be great.
Thanks! for info so far. Hope other people chime in .
