The new toy has a TE34 on it. Other than an atr exh and a cold air intake, it's otherwise stock. The injs are also stockers.:(
NE using such? If so what injs are you using.
60# Siemens overkill? [Future growth in mind]

Back in the 90s we went 7.30s in the 1/8 on a bone stock engine with a few bolt ons. Not a bad turbo at all, quick spool etc. Comparable to a TA49 power wise.

The old school ford blue-tops were always my favorite injectors for lower level stockish type builds, idled good, drove good and just seemed to do everything right. Good for mid/hi 11's.

I vote for the siemens 60's, I have them in 2 cars the idle characteristics are flawless (matching chip of course)and their good for mid 10s or better, went from 42# green stripes that didn't have a great idle in comparison . id use 60s from 12s to 10s

were these green 009 Injectors?

Yeah I was not impressed with them on any of the cars I ever put them on, i will keep the 60's in mind for future use.

No their not overkill on a stock type build with a modern chip

on a gn a few years ago put a single nozzle from alkycontrol on a stock motor and a 49 with the stock injectors,it was a nice 11 sec driver;)

Well, just pulled the dp for installation of a wb bung...The w/g shaft is locked up so tite, I had to use a crescent wrench to move it. Of course it was locked shut...PO claimed he was running 18# boost. W/o gauges, I wonder how he knew this?? This is a sure sign I'd best do a leak down and comp test.:(
The TE34 appears to be tite and fairly clean. I was going to step up, but I'm going to see how it does, once all the other bullshit is corrected.
Some folks should ride a mule instead of having a car...(n)

And those that did ride mules would try and figure out how to put a turbo on it anyway Chuck.:ROFLMAO: I'm dealing with one of them right now and he can't understand why he keeps bending vales.

Well, it turns out, the so called TE34 is a piece of antiquated junk.
Once I got the plenum off, and saw it was dry, I knew I was in trouble w/ the "turdbo". The oil puddled in the up pipe, and i/c.
Now on the hunt for a TA49.. Plenty of airflow for this turd. It doesn't appear that there's a lot of diff in the 34 vs the 49. I guess if this had actually been a real 34, it would have been worth rebuilding.
