TE60 Turbo

I have a TE60 turbo with a garrett .63 exhaust housing complete with a HD actuator. The turbo has 500 miles on it and has no shaft play at all. The turbo was run on the car with a turbo saver from PTE. Im upgrading turbo's because of a new engine combo. Im going with a PT67 turbo. This turbo has great spool-up and can be used with the stock torque converter. I ran a stock diameter orange stripe converter with a Precision stock Loc. I/C and this propelled my car to 11.30's at 119mph at 24psi boost. Turbo was purchased from Limit Engineering.

Very, very fun street/strip turbo. This thing spools up like mad and pulls hard on the top end.

I have a TE-60 turbo with the same exhaust housing. I haven't put it on yet who makes the orange stripe converters??? Stock diameter is 12" correct?? Do you know what goes into the build on this converter??

I bought my converter from the Buick club. There are other vendors that offer this converter or something similiar. Yes the stock diameter is 12". I think the orange stripe has a improved stator, kevlar clutch, etc. I don't remember all of the specifics. Its been a while. Very cost effective converter that has worked great for me!

The spoolup of the TE60 with the stock converter was awesome! The orange stripe made it a little bit better!
