Test ESC (knock) on Classic Fast B2B

Hi, I want to check the ESC on my classic fast B2B and I recorded a data log with the key on (not running) and I did not see any ESC or change in the timing while tapping by the knock sensor. I searched previous posts and found with the XFI it has to be running and off idle. Does anyone know the correct procedure to check for knock with a classic fast B2B Thanks, James

You could check the Classic the same way. An easy way, would be to tap the knock sensor with the car idling and the TPS held open (with TB closed)

Procedure worked, and now I know all is good with my knock sensor circuit. Thanks

Just don;t get too confident on the whole GM ESC system. A few good knock retards@25+ psi and it will be all over anyway in a hurry, but it is better than having nothing.
