Test Pipe=More Boost?

Putting a test pipe on doesn't affect how much boost your car has, does it?

As long as your wastegate is set, isn't that the only thing that will change the boost?

That's what I thought but in reality, if the cat was a big restriction and you get rid of it, the boost will climb a little. How much depends on how big of a restriction it was.

Hey where ya located in wi? I gutted my cat and I got about a 4 pds of boost increase.

With my test put on, I got faster boost, and about a 2 psi increase. That is about all I noticed with the cat gone, and test pipe in place
