I spend my should-be-working-on-the-car time playing poker these days.

It's one of those love/hate relationships, but at least it's free. And after a few hands I can tell whether it's going to be a "lucky" session or a loser.
Damn lucky it's free as I don't think I have the personality to play for thousands of real money.

Anyone else play?

I really enjoy playing too, I play on holdempoker.com. I spend alot of time I should be working on other things watching hold em on t.v. too.

i love playing texas hold'em, i'm getting better at it also , na i do ok, i won a small tournament, but hay it was $531 dollars i also play at full tilt and poker stars, not as good as my brother-in-law ( no where near )
but it took him awhile also

I started out on Pacific Poker. After building my bank roll up the "normal" way, I got sick of the kids coming in constantly going all-in with their initial free $200, no matter what they were dealt. Then just getting another $200 from the dealer if they lost. They would go on forever doing this.

I've since switched to Poker Stars. A new player is given an initial $1000, and allowed to lose it 3 times before he has to sit out for an hour. Stops the all-in's on nothing since those kids would then twiddle their thumbs while waiting for the hour to pass.

But I admit, I've become addicted to playing it. My wife thinks I'm nuts since she'll hear me screaming and yelling at the screen once in a while. On the stickin' river card usually.

i used to play the small tournaments $5-10 now i try to play at least 25 to 50 dollar games people take it more seriously when it's for more money.

everyone thinks A-K is always the best hand, i have busted people with small pocket pairs, i love to call a raise and then nail a set on the flop and just sit back and watch them bet into me :biggrin: , what was your screen name at full tilt? i'm " Qwksix" and on poker stars i'mamachine.

let me ask you a question that 200 you keep getting thats play money right?
and i know how you feel about that dam river card
