Texas Rangers in the World Series?

That just doesn't sound right. Growing up, I remember my Mom would listen to every game on the radio in the 70's. I always wondered why she was so dedicated because they always had a loosing season and aways made the same mistakes with their staff with pitching...for basically 25+ years....
Then they made it to the playoffs in the late 90's...I was working in New York then and actually went to the 1 playoff game the Rangers won until this year...they stopped the Yankees in Yankee Stadium something like 8 to 2..the crowd was very rough on Ranger fans there...we sat quietly thru the game
Now they are going to the World Series...I had to go over to my Mom's and watch a few games with her after her dedication to them since 1971 when they moved here...she estatic at 74, never seen her so excited.
Congrats too to Nolan Ryan, couldn't be a better owner for this team!

I love it. They beat the Rays then the Yankees. So I'm hoping they win it all. Glad a team that earned it got in the big series for a change instead of a team that writes the big checks and underachieves. Now if only the Giants can finish of the Filthies!
