I'm building a light car ( 2200 #) and am going to a 3spd unit. It will have a brake and the motor will by high on nitrous (buick turbo car still).
Can a 350 be built (reasonable cost - similiar to a 400) and survive 140 mph trap speeds? Is it any tougher than a fully built TH200r4 tranny? Is the 400 the only way to go?
I want a 350 from a size, weight and horsepower loss point of view. This car will be small and I want it to be as light as possible.
The car will have 13" slicks and a spooled 9" Ford with a 4 link if that matters.
TIA,
Roger
