TH350 shifter choices

Will a stock shifter work with a 350 or do you need to go with something else ? What is being used with a clean interior look and not hacking the console?

The stock shifter gate is bolted to the shifter. 78-87 Regals used the same shifter assembly. The 3 speed trans was used up until 1982 and the NA V6 Regals with buckets and floor shift had the 3 speed trans all the way to 1987.
The 78-88 Olds Cutlass models are the same way.
