Hello all..I have a th400 with a switch pitch converter in my 87 gn and I am having probs with the way it is acting. when I have the kickdown acrtivated and it reaches high rpm around 6400 rpm it actslike it is hitting the rev limiter(it has to be).anyway which way do you turn the modulator screw or could this be a govenor issue???it does it at the top of all three gears.this is a highly modded gn that has run 129mph in the quarter and I have been chasing this for along time.thanks

when used in a turbocharged application the 400 will usually exhibit strange shift scheduling based on the engine load signal recieved by the valve body via the modulator due to the turbo chargers influence on the vaccum signal.if all other shift scheduling is okay except for the wot are too late than you must add weight to the secondary side of the governor to reduce the centrifugical speed that must be obtained to generate the correct hydraulic variables to create an upshift.orificing of the vaccum line may be in order if all shift scheduling is in correct.best thing is my reverse pattern full manual valve body:D
