Changing to TH400 and after searching old posts still have a few questions.
- Does someone have a pic of their aftermarket shift linkage on the side of the trans they could post?
- Can the column/steering wheel lock linkage be retained with the TH400, if not, what is the "proper" way to disable it with zero risk of it engaging?
- Link for the check cooler line pressure and the best method to lower it to the desired 40psi?
- Does FAST need the speedo signal like the factory ECM? I can calibrate my speedo with whatever speedo gear is in the trans but wondering if I need the correct one for an accurate mph input into FAST. If I do need to change it, what is the part# for the speedo gear I should install?
- Will the TCI scatter shield interfere with the trans tunnel or is there plenty of room?
- ARP bellhousing-to-engine block bolt kit part#?

I will try and get a pic of my linkage later but easy to fabricate. It will mostly work with the Factory TH400 linkage arm unless your using an aftermarket shifter like I'm using. This allows for the reverse lights and neutral safety features to work
Fast only needs a speedo signal if your using lock-up or traction control features. In this case you would be better off using a driveshaft speed sensor kit. Speedo gear selection can be figured out on TCI's on-line calculator from there website.
Scatter shields will interfere and best way to make space is to weld the body seam in the car over the trans tunnel and grind off the lip on the underside.
ARP bolts are selected based on length. Mine are longer than stock due to CSR shield. I prefer the 12 point bolts over the allen key bolts they supply because its easier to get a swivel socket on a 12 point bolt in that confined area.

Thanks Allen, this is the shield I have, so its going to hit that body seam in the tunnel? I am using an aftermarket shifter, previously I had to fabricate a special link to integrate the factory column lock linkage to work with the supplied aftermarket shifter arm when I used the 2004r (shifter is a Kwik Shift 2). I mentioned to the trans builder about having to lower the cooler pressure and he did not seem concerned so I definitely have to check it when if starts for the first time, is 40 psi the # to aim for heading to the cooler or exiting the cooler?

You want to measure pre cooler pressure. A lot of bar and plate coolers will add restriction so pick your cooler cautiously. Would recommend tube and fin for max flow. Also, it's difficult to use a pressure measurement to correctly size the orifice. 7/64 will work and would start there. I datalog my charge pressure and look at the pressure at the top of each gear at max efficiency and is where you want to see 40 PSI. At max stall you should expect to see something substantially higher.

With regards to your shield, I have no experience with that type but my gut tells me it will hit the floor.

I tried that shield, rattled and vibrated something serious...but it "fit"
