I stopped by after the Saddleback show to see Lou & his new play toy. Many thanks to Lou for dropping what he was doing and taking a look at my car's converter lock up. Lou plugged in his Snap-On diagonistic & took it for a spin. He also adjusted my TV cable & the TPS. So now I know that the converter lock-up works as it should & it shifts a little firmer & the TPS has been fine tuned. The GNX is truly a "Princess story" and is somewhat currently a "diamond in the rough" until Lou gets is all cleaned, polished, & tuned. Thanks again, Lou, you're the greatest.

Isn't it nice when it shifts right!

You mean you actually drove your car Gary:biggrin:

Shane:
Yes it is, and it is not exactly right yet, Lou thinks that it might be time for a shift kit, and have wanted to do one for a while now, even though I don't really have enough RWHP to worry about, the only problem is Len Freeman is somewhat of a drive away, & Bruce is farther. I think that I am going to have to pay Len a visit one of these days.

I am just shy of 23K miles on that car, and it drives just like new. Till I find another turbobuick to play with and put miles on it, I don't want to put a lot of miles on the one that I have now. I do enjoy driving it, Ty, burt I also enjoy the nods that I get for such a clean car. There's another one out there for me somewhere, just haven't found it yet. Probably due to my anal attitude about these cars. Good to hear from you, hope that everything is going ok for you & family.

Thanks Gary,You deserve a little respect for keeping the southwest sanitarium from self destruction.I try to save time for the good people in this community.I think that if you lower your expectations a little you'll find the car your looking for.if these cars were perfect from the start there would be no need for guys like myself. To me the fun is trying to finish the job GM started plus these cars are now over 20 years old. So good luck with that.

Thanks again, Lou. Car runs great. Shifts better, too. Has more leg room, too. I haven't had that much legroom for quite some time. I thought that I had the seat all the way back, but I guess not. I think that I would be interested in doing that modification on the seat that you were talking about. Let me know if you get some Sat morning shop time open.

Gary I know you don't like leaving your car which ties my hands, To do that modification takes some time & fabrication which would require you to either leave the car or figure a way to leave the seat. Perhaps you might bring a lawn chair or toss pillow to set in place of it or something of that nature in order to get you home. I'm open for any ideas to make it happen. Lou
