BE GRINDING ON THE BAFFLE IN THE OIL PAN.

I guess its good i dropped the pan for somthing else. Anyone else had this happen with aftermarket pan?

Looks like a gouge from a rod bolt, not a crank throw. Is this a stroker?

Nope, stock. When i lined it up, it was the crank. Removed the baffle and tack welded it an inch lower.

So far so good. Im guessing the pan was meant to be used with a girdle, which would have given it the clearance it needed.

Just a theory.

Not sure a girdle-specific pan is a thing that would exist, I'm guessing a quality control problem. That gouge tells me it's only 1/4" too high.

But you've fixed it. So carry on!

Ya, that's where im at now.
 
I have a tool I made out of an old caulking gun that reaches up through the oil hole and through the round battle hole allowing me to pull the baffle down
