Hey guys,I have a 80 Monte carlo and Im dying to know what kind of tranny I have in there.I looked on a site and it states that they came with 350,350c,of 200's.What's the easiest way to tell a 350 from a 200?I know the 350c's use a electrical plug on the side for the lock up.Can a 350c be built with the same parts as a 350?thanks

See if it has the word METRIC on the trans pan, also look to see if the tailshaft housing is made to the case or if it is held on by 4 bolts.Hope this helps.

There was also a tranny called a TH250C in some early '80's
cars. It looks like a TH350, but has a band adjusting screw and
locknut on the side of the case. The TH350C has a different case, pump, torque converter, input shaft, valve body and possibly other small parts that won't work in a TH350. :)
