The everlasting Volt Light Flicker

5 days ago I just replaced my alternator (again) with a 124 amp unit for a Caprice. Its charging just fine and runs great during the day. While driving at night and with the headlights on I get really short flickering from volt light only. No power surges, dimming of lights, or stereo cutting when this happens. Im gonna check all the wires and grounds but I wanted to know what else can cause this to occur.

Caspers sells a kit that ties into the wastegate solenoid for power straight to the alternator.

Fixed my dads car.

i had that problem before and went through three alternators til i finally found a melted wire grounding out and eventually killing the alternator.
