Looked pretty deliberate, didn't it. I heard LSU was checking to see if he had any eligibilty left.

The umpire has the hardest job of all the officials. He's basically lining up as a linebacker for each play. I think he was trying to get out of the way and just chose the wrong direction. He did get his shoulder into him though! It's always better to hit than get hit!!
