So Tony's also running 224 cid?
I hope that 155+ means a lot faster than 155.
Those 50 CI will not get you a few hundred HP.
You do understand that a turbo capapble of 1500HP can make 1500 on a 4 cylinder engine as well and a V6.

Why alot faster? at the boost level he went 155,mind you while on a small drag radial it would be flying!

I thought Tony was running around 21psi when he went 155+??
exactly my point, and its not 274 CI that is getting him there, I bet he could throw it down with 224 CI, maybe not with Don olds M&A heads though.

So, if I take S2V6RACER's advice and move what I've learned to a 274 cid platform with my dream heads, Stage II heads, what do you think the results might be?

Any guesses? Tony? HOT ROD-GN? Don't start being shy, now.

This shows how cluless you really are, do you think small cid is whats holding you up REALLY!!! Galina set records with a small cid motor all the imports make more power than your making with smaller motors and running smaller turbos, this gets back to your tuning its lacking and it SHOWS 900 hp with a 1600hp turbo. I will take a stab at what you will run with a 274 turbo and wild heads.............. less than what it is capable of. You proved that with a light car and a t76 thats rated at 900 hp and how fast did you go........ Now you got the 91 turbo and where are you... walla you finally hit 900 hp mark and this is what you want congrats for RIGHT !!

In your sig you claim 5.27 HP per CI.
By my math thats 1180.48 HP, If I remember correctly you weigh in
around 3200#s. According to my calculator you have a car that should run
8.0@167 or so which equates to an 1/8 mile time of around 5.2 or so in the 135 or so range.

The same calculator says you really only making(or using) 825HP or 3.68 HP/CI
again if i recall correclty this is the same power you made at the same boost with the old school 76

I do give you props for being able to get that 91 to spool that way, sound wicked.

With the chassis sorted out, should be a pretty quick car.

I give you props too this the first time I have ever heard that a big turbo can spool fast with nitrous Does.

Have any Idea that this is possiable !!!!!!!!

Now Otto has uncovered something very interesting, I have been beliving that you were FINALLY at the 900 Hp but once again your tuning comes into play because its worse than what I thought. STILL LOOKING FOR THE CONGRATS!!

Do i still seem shy.....

Does your calculator enable you to calculate the hp levels throughout a pass? Or is it simply calculating an average hp throughout the pass? Is it wheel or flywheel hp?

You're welcome to try out my calculator. Maybe you can show me how I came up with a wrong hp figure.

Don do you work !!!!

you post for hours on end in your multi posts that you have given birth too and yet your always workin on the anti lagg, boost control, flapper valve, what ever the flavor of the week is maybe you can TEACH us all how you do all this.

Now for this I will be your pupil

Just how did you calculate your hp figure, Tony?

First, you put in the time to learn a trade.
Then, you put in the time to start, learn to run and build a business.
Then, you put in the time to hire the right people.
All of the above can take a lot of invested time and money.
If you do that right, you have some extra time on your hands to do what you like.

Its a basic racing calculator using 5.62 in the 1/8 converted to 1/4 mile (which is around 8.92 or so) and 156 (using a standard 30 mph backhalf)and your weight. It takes a certain amount of power to propel a certain amount of weight 1320 FT.
Being that they are different calculators I wont use the word wrong,
but i bet your numbers make you feel better :D

I would hope you would not completely discount cubic inches. Cylinder pressures can make up for cubes up to a point.

Heads, on the other hand, are key. I'll bet Tony isn't flowing just 210 on the intake side. I would really be impressed if he is.

So it sounds like your working with wheel hp, correct?

Not completely but I have seen 181 CI 4 cylinders belt out 1500HP with an 88.
From what i have been schooled about turbos is the capabilty is the capability weather it be on a 4-6-8 cylinder. CI not being the limiting factor.

So, if you wanted to know how much flywheel hp you launched with, or hp you would need to perform a particular 60 foot time, or how much hp you had through the 1-2 shift, or what the hp level is at the 1000 ft mark, how does your calculator come up with that?

BINGO!!!!!!!!! 181 cubes 4 cyl 1500 hp with a 88 does that tuner no anything about 224 cid motors;)
