Maybe we should start calling you King Tut but are you museum quality ? Gary check out Bob Stall Chevrolet in San Diego some gal Annette in internet sales keeps trying to sell me a car & seems eager to deal. I bought my 04 Z06 from them & got a good deal.

Gary,Bob Stall currently has a Red,Black & Yellow 08 Z06's I coincidentally got a call from her because out of curiosity I inquired to see what was out there.I guess your right $12,000 under is about the best you can do presently. I did get a couple of digs in about what has happened to 5 & 10 over MSRP. She of course defended that & I thanked her for forcing me into a Porsche. Can you believe that there is up to $50,000 mark up on the new ZR-1 & a waiting list. I told her to let me know when they are giving them away.

I checked with Bob Stall today as they had a Jetstream blue advertised on their web site for $11K off of MSRP but that had already been sold. They also show a yellow at $12K off of MSRP, and the salesman told me about the black one which is also at $12K off of MSRP. I am making a serious attempt at avoiding a black car. Yellow and red are also not my favorite. If I could live with yellow, I would be all over that yellow, non-Z06, wide-bodied, 650 horse at the rear wheel, 3LT interior package up at A & A corvette. A mere $75K puts you there. Fwiw, the GM Employee Discount ends 09-30-2008. My guess is that there aren't enough left to realize a discount sale at Thanksgiving or end of year sale. A few select dealers are offering '09's at GM Employee Discount if ordered before 09-30-2008, or ism on their lot now. I really doubt if Gm will ever be stupid enough to put themselves in this position again by making too many Z06's buy not projecting market trends, election year blues, gas gouging enough to kill sales, or economic depressions.

I am also hearing recently that we are no longer 50 state cars, so bringing one in from out of state might be getting difficult

Gary - my Dad's 07 came from Arizona - no problem. They are 50 state cars - no special Cal emissons.

Naw, I don't think so with vettes. I think that there might be some better deals out there in thanksgiving to Christmas season for cars in general, I think that the discount vettes are gone for a while, at least the seriously $12K-$14K off Z06's. Time will tell. The best time to buy was about a month ago when they were offering GM Employee discount & 0% financing for 48 months in lieu of the $2500 off. They only did that for about a week or two, maybe shorter duration, don't really remember.

I noticed today in the S.D. newspaper an add for '08 ZO6's at Bob Stall's Chevrolet. They have three in stock and the price is $65,665. Their number is 800-719-0904.

Sytech and i went over to Corvette mikes and looked at their 09 ZR1 (black on black).. i think you should get that .. it was going for small change 150K
