Gary,
I noticed today in the S.D. newspaper an add for '08 ZO6's at Bob Stall's Chevrolet. They have three in stock and the price is $65,665. Their number is 800-719-0904.

Thanks, Jeff, I talked to them weekend before last, They want about $73K out the door with tax & license, only red & black, & maybe a yellow one left, but thanks for the info.

Sytech and i went over to Corvette mikes and looked at their 09 ZR1 (black on black).. i think you should get that :).. it was going for small change 150K
Are you sure??
Because last weekend on CF they were advertising it at $159K. And GM is having trouble with the carbon fiber roof lay-up as it is turning white on them.
At that kind on money, I would be all over a Ford GT, which may not be quite as quick or fast ala factory, but will be worth more money down the road. You may never see the ZR1 at list ($105K) but you will see them drop down in value from the $55K mark-up I think.
Going to be very pricey working on that car, too. Brake parts are not going to be free. Thread going on over on corvette forum that a brake job with new rotors will be about $8K for parts alone.

Gary - I paid very close to that. There were several silver 08's available around here but those went quick at the employee pricing. I had been debating for some time about a purchase and figured that the deals would not be better than they are now. I agree that the deals on the 08's were the lowest that we are going to see. A lot of the 08's had been on the lots for a while.

Beautiful car, Cyber Grey, '09 Z06. About $72K out the door, (not including tax if any & license)?

Lou:
I saw that ad this morning, but did you see the 68 mile notation on the ad. I have never seen a dealer place the mileage on the ad, as most new vettes roll off of the delivery truck with 4 to 6 miles on them. My best guess would be that, (& I mean this as no slur to Reliable Chevrolet) this was their test mule for prospective new Z06 owners who wanted to test drive a new Z06 prior to purchase, which would explain the 68 miles. The fact that they are offering to deliver it (sight unseen, if necessary, I would assume) for that price also would concern me. Slightly unsual, at best.
I am thinking that locally, Tim Boone at Boardwalk Chevrolet in Redwood City might be the best bet. Fwiw, GM employee pricing discount goes away 09-30-2008, as far as I know and that could change things somewhat.
Every time I actually think about writing a check for $75K my knees get very weak & it smells funny around me.

Bottom line, though, regarding the Reliable Chevrolet '08 Z06 is that it is probalby worth at least a phone call.

this kids weak in the knees and smells something fishy

Save your money and buy an LS7 and just slap one of these on

Nothing wrong with that, Frank, but I just can't do yellow. It is also $75K asking. If that was Andy's personal toy from last year, the silver one at $65K, I would be all over it in a heartbeat. It went to Texas about a year ago. I have something in the works now on an '08 & no mods, previously owned, extremely low mileage.
