Theres a show on TLC tonight on street racing

I think its mostly imports. Go figure. Watch in awe as they blast into the 10's................in the 1/8 mile, that is!

Oh well, its better than watching Oprah or something. It starts at 8 here. Its either on TLC or Discovery, I'm too lazy to look.

The Honda actually doesn't look too bad. But the sticker arguement is kind of stupid. Posting the pics and telling everyone what she had wasn't too bright.
The Talon isn't bad either, but the stickers and crap, well, you know. Was that tape holding the nitrous button on?

i've seen several talons at the track go in the 7s in the 1/8th and my gn went faster than the honda when it was stock with 90000 miles.

this is what i learned on that show:

1. Double cams equals double the power

2. "idiots' that pull out in front of street racers causes accidents

3. honda's represent all the egotistical guys

4. i didnt post the pictures on the internet on purpose

5. 1/8th mile is a little shorter then a 1/4 mile track

They NEED to do another show with some RWD American cars. It wasn't quite as bad as I thought, but the cars were boring. Was the Honda still open diff?
Thought the DSM was almost that fast stock?

Well, it was just as gay as I thought it would be. They should have made that chick pay for all her stuff for posting the information all over the damn place. If she wants to just be "one of the guys", she should stop crying after the race! Who crys after a race?! (In my best Tom Hanks voice) "Theres no crying in racing!"

They should have done the show on something more interesting, like I dunno, real street racers, not this rice crap. Who races a stone stock Eagle talon?! How can you even call yourself any kind of racer and not even have a cold air kit or at least a stupid fart can? At least the chicks car had a few things done to it.

They should do a show about the street car chaos at US41 in Morocco. At least the cars are interesting. And fast.

My 96 4 door Honda Accord LX SOHC 5 speed with header,exhaust,tb,centerforce clutch, 400 lbs of stereo equipment and cold air kit ran 9.90 on street tires.Turn on the 125 horse nos kit and itd run 8.70s all night long.Ultimate sleeper,even had the factory hubcaps with 195/50 bfg comp ta z rated tires. Neither of them know how to drive. BTW this was in 96 when imports werent all that big. It did have one thing going for it though,it was black.

9.90s on a basically stock Accord is damn good. How many times did it hold the 125 shot?

Yeah, I saw that too. The other dude was doing something and they show her putting make up on. "Just like the guys", my arse. What I look like has got to be the last thing on my mind as I'm preparing for a run.

Neither one of them could drive, did you see the in car videos and how hard they got pushed forward while shifting? I fail to see how anyone could call themselves any kind of racer and drive a stick like that. Hell, I can drive stick better than that, and I suck! You know they both have to be on message boards somewhere, we should find them to point and laugh.

Yea, that looks like her.

Not too bad though, she ended up running 12.4 @ 116 before blowing the engine LOL

Too bad there is about $15,000 in parts to make that Honda go that fast and blow up.

I would love to see them do another show and have someone pull up in a bone stock T-Type and make a nice mid 10 second car out of it and see what the competition has to say about that

The dsm is a high 11 second car on that setup its a sprayed 16g turbo it was slow cuz the axel broke but it stil beat the civic so ohwell

Over a year,one 10 lb bottle a week, sometimes 2. I blew it up at the track trying to power shift into 3rd but hit 1st trying a new combo with a ported head.Yea,I know im a dumbass.

That was the most dependable car I ever owned. Abused it from day 1.At 1k miles I put the bottle on it and I drove the car for 55k+ miles. The only weak spots were the tranny and cv axles,I went thru 3 trannys all replaced under warranty.Car was stolen and stripped.I still miss it

It was the ultimate sleeper.Would KILL alot of the modded Stangs in Birmingham.Theyd think just a ricer when id rev em at the light. Then when id out run em at the next light id get "What in the hell have you done to that car???". My reply "Nothing,its stock except the exhaust".
