 Hi guys,

I hope all is well. I purchased a GN in mid December and need to know where the thermostat/housing is since I want to install a 160 degree thermostat. A photo would be very helpful. In addition I just noticed that I am missing the grey plastic cover for the seatbelt bolt near the top left of the drivers window. Any ideas where I can find such a part?

Best regards,

The thermostat is in the intake, where the top radiator hose goes in. The seat belt piece can probably be found at gbodyparts.com.

You will want another thermostat housing on hand when you replace the thermostat. They are in the intake pretty tight and do not come off easily. I had to beat mine with a hammer a couple of times to get it off.

You definately want to have a new reproduction thermostat housing in hand when you tackle this job. Our reproduction we sell is made from stainless and comes with a new o-ring. I know they are in stock as I picked up a bunch of them today from the company that makes them. Part #6706 price is $25 and shipping. kirbanperformance.com

I am sure other sources offer them as well. Point is, have a new one from someone on hand as yours is almost certain to be destroyed once you manage to get it out of the front of the intake.

We carry a few different choices on Thermostats & housings. We have a package deals on t-stats & housings as well.

We also carry Kirbans units as well. I have original GM new & used if some is trying to keep it all GM.

On the seat belt cover we have every color imaginable due to the amount of vehicles we have parted out over the years. They are $5.00 each.
