Thick Cork Oil Pan Gasket?

How much thicker is it than the ROI cork gasket and if it is a better gasket, how much and who has'em?

Much better gasket.
RJC has them ..... $20 (I think)
IMHO, spend the extra $10 and do it once!

Are they better than the Duttweiler gasket? Please say they are equal as I just put one of those in my car and dont want to go through that mess again.

According to RJC's web site it IS the Duttweiler gasket.

But then it says 1/8" thick - I thought the cork pan gasket in the ROI kit that a board member from FL sells is that thick too???

I guess I'll find out soon enough.

Well, the Duttweiler gasket is pretty thick.

For the record, my motor is a lot cleaner than that now. I have been doing a LOT of work on that car over the winter. :smile:
