Well I cleaned out the old storage unit last week and have been going through the stuff to see what needs to stay and what needs to go away. One of the things I found was my old briefcase that I haven't used since 04. I decided to open it to see what was left in it. I used to carry it to work so I could take training info home with me. What I found was some old sales brochures from when I worked at a chevy dealer before I moved back to Texas. I doubt very many of you have ever seen this stuff so I thought I'd post a few pics of them. A couple of them are bent but considering how many sales brochures survive they're in pretty good condition.
The 50th anniversary Corvette cruise with caravan info from all over the country is a neat little bit of nostalgia, not to mention the sales training book on the SSR that was for the sales staff only. For some reason I've got 31 of the cruise maps and 2 of the blue corvette sales brochures. If I remember right they were cleaning things out of the storeroom and I was lucky enough to get a few of the things they were throwing away. The 50th anniversary corvette brochure even has a CD with it and if you've ever tried to get one of the corvette brochures you know they're usually not out in the open for someone to take, you have to be a committed buyer to get one, and even the salesmen don't get them to look at without having someone that's really interested in one. The SSR book was never supposed to leave the dealership since it was a training aid. I also found my antique/vintage bamboo fly rods that I've been wanting to restore but never got around to.
