Second year in a row all i can muster is a 12.0 with a pte 44 at 110 mph on mt drags 1.8 60 fts 89 in the eighth eric marshall race chip 26 degrees timing.I was running 25 lbs boost kr was 1.7 and my tune was 777 mv.Fuel pressure was 43 line off.n here is i dont know where to go from here as i want more.Would a bigger turbo help or possibly portred heads i also have a 3000 stall 9x11 converter and 65 lb inj thanks

Forget the turbo for now and fix the 60'..... You should be in the high 1.5s with drags and 3000 stall..... Why won't it leave hard?

I agree, your leaving something on the table with only 1.8 60'.
What boost are you launching with? I'd think with a TE44 and a 3000 stall 9x11 you should be able to spool up very quick and at least leave with around 10#. Maybe too rich on the bottom end?

well, i know that turbo has another easy 3 tenths or so, but i do not see in your sig that you have a upgraded I/C, if not then i recommend that first. if the car is not a daily driver then get the PTE FM, if it's driven on the street ALOT or is a daily driver then get the PTE stock location Stretch I/C. this and alittle more tuning is what i recommend. and the 60' has another 1.5-2 tenths to grow. work on that and your in the 11's.

What are you running for a fuel system? I personally would like to see the MV a tad higher w/ 0 knkr. Brian

sorry forgot to mention that i had a stock location from precision. I think my mt drags might be finished. What would be a good tire to go with

Are you spinning the tires at all on launch? I've had some pretty hard launches at 12-13# of boost and not once spun the tires with MT ET Streets 28x11.5s. If your spinning the tires, then may need to stiffen the rear some or let so more air out. I run the MTs at around 15# and 10-12# in a passenger side air bag and all boxed rear control arms with poly bushings.

My tires did not seem to be spinning I have 13 lbs air pressure and stock suspension

Then I would look else where for the poor 60'. If the tires didn't spin then thats not the issue. Probably in fueling, need to lean it out a bit more on the low end.

I'd weigh the car too.

And I would be equally worried about 110 mph with that boost and race chip.

You locking the converter?

If you can lower the timing a couple of degrees at the same boost I'd try that as a test also.

why are you judging my driving .Maybe leaning it out on the bottom end will help as it seems a little hard to build boost.might be rich on the bottom thanks

Shawnz, just brake torque it up to the same boost level and in the scanmaster or labtop program see what the BL is at, or even better, get a wideband or find someone local with one and see whats happening there

I agree, you have a 1.6 60ft in there and atleast a 11.5 E.T with a minor correction to that high end knock.

If it were me I'd try to find out why your MPH is so low. You should be seeing at least 115 or more with that much boost and timing.

What sort of rpm are you going through the traps at?

Just for comparison a previous car I had would go 111 on 20 psi with a ported stock turbo/stock IC with a Duttneck and non-lock converter.

I see you have 26" tires, that may or may not be a contributing factor for the lower mph, wouldn't halp 60' time though.
Also, do you still have the original valve springs? If so, that will limit your top end power due to weaker springs/float.

IF YOUR NOT SINNING YOUR TIRES I WOULD ADD A COUPLE ,THREE #S OF AIR TO YOUR MICKEYS I JUST RAN AT SALEM WITH MT DRAG RADIALS AND HAD A GREAT 60 FOOT 1.39 .MPH ,A LOT CAN AFFECT THAT MY MPH WAS ONLY 109. 90 temp and high humidity can greatly affect that.i was running 115 mph at norwalk in april.burn all the way thru the 60".never could get traction. just my .02

If i was to buy a bigger turbo[not the gt6152] as they dont like high boostwould a pt 52 53 54 or 62 be a good choice
