That's unreal!! Lets see how long it takes for the 'safety freaks' to try to get it pulled. Looks like we're gonna have another challenger, no pun intended, at the local stoplight wars...............;)

Sadly, for all that money you still get a piece of sh*t car. All the other rear drive Chrysler products are garbage with a laundry list of problems. Im sure this car will be the same. Its too bad to because it sure is a nice looking ride.

It can't be a bigger piece of Sh*t than the originals were, which are now 10X the money and 1/2 the performance.

I'd buy one for $38K.

I don't understand the pieces of sh*t comments. What was and is the sh*tty part???
Honestly, best looking stock car I've seen.

The quality of the car. Ive heard stories about the quality of dodge's newer srt cars and they are not good ones :frown:

that new challenger is a beautiful looking car and my buddy has a 70 challenger that I love. kinda nice to know that my 21 yr old v6 will kick both of their asses at a stop light.

qwic87gn...Do some research about all the Chryslers rear drive platforms. Their reliability and quality control leave alot to be desired. Ive personally worked on many of these cars (charger, magnum, and 300). Everyone needs an a**load of work put into them. From massive leaks, to engine problems, to suspension issues. Its sad really that Chrysler keeps dropping the ball with their cars. They have some really neat ideas but when they finally mass produce something it all falls apart. The new Challenger is a great looking car, but its overpriced and I personally wouldnt own it one day out of warranty!

$38K for a 425 HP with 14" Brembo brakes in a new car is overpriced?

What other new car could I buy for $38K with 425 HP?

Have new GT500's dropped $15K yet?

They'll probably have some kind of "closed road course" disclaimer at the end.
Nice looking car but I still would rather have an old Challenger.

That is the best looking retro car yet! That commercial was a little weak but the car sure is nice. I would not mind having one sitting next to the GN in my garage.
Can't wait to see those on the streets.

Awesome commercial! I love it when the car companies actually make good commercials with car stuff in them.......not people moving furniture or something like that (I understand why they do that but still, haha).

I guess I have been looking in all the wrong places. Most of what I've read about Chrysler have been positive in both short and long term tests. All manufactures have issues, depending on where you are reading...
My dad bought a '07 Charger two months ago, and I sure hope he has no misfortune with it.
Back to the Challenger; there would be an order with my name on it, if it had came out a few months back. In my opinion (judging by pictures and video), it is one of, if not THE best looking car produced.

I think if ya look closely at all the new cars they are ****boxes  just depends how much $$$$ someone is willing to pay for them... I think $37k is a good deal and YES I would BUY one for that !! :p

GUYS STOP COMPLAINING! At least they are making an effort to build them.

I understand the comment about how the originals back in th 70's were a hunk o junk. I can attest to that living up north the mopars did not last long with rust & paint fade. Much less life time than a gm.

Today's tech has finally eliminated a lot of that.

Now if only GM & Buick would retro the G bodies with some modern tech.

Good point...

I used to work at a Dodge dealership as a porter years ago and I always remember that every model sold had transmission issues. Especially the minivans. The only thing that might prevent that same thing with these Challengers is that whoever buys them is just going to stick them in a garage under a cover and hold onto em with 0 miles thinking they are going to one day be valued like a 70 hemi Chalenger. I cant wait to give one a spanking with the lil V6! Then I will wait at the next light and ask the owner "Is that a Hemi?" :D

Yeah, when the 604 came out our dealer had a 400 mile van on the rack in pieces for like 6 weeks while Chrysler tried to catch up. The way I understand it GM had that happen a few times too. The buick dynaflo, the TH350, the 700R4, and maybe a couple others were disasters when they first came out. Now they've all been ironed out (even the 604) and we're waiting for the next one. Someday they'll have the 6 liter powerstroke figured out and people will be loving them too.
