Those with old style SMC kits - Washer fluid?

Got my kit all set up and installed. I have set the spray on point to about 10psi and insured with the test button that it is working good, haven't had a chance to tune it though. The tank is filled with denatured alcohol right now. I was wondering if anyone has had any luck with this pump and old style SMC kit in using like -30 washer fluid?

Reason I ask is because denatured alcohol around here is $15+ a gallon And I know several turbo mustang guys on DIY kits running low 10's spraying just $1.50 gallon washer fluid from autozone.

I'm pretty sure the pump with these old kits is not setup to run anything but denatured, but has anyone tried? Results?

Well I just realized that all washer fluid is a mix of meth/water....I was under the impression that there were also denatured/water mixes of fluid out there. Nevermind guys. :redface:

If you run water with an early SMC kit, you will ruin the pump.

Call Steve at SMC for clarification.



PS.. Your Buick wont like the water.
