It has a fairly common boost curve. Instead of playing the "boost-level" game, an aggresive curve was used to maximize the timing of when the max boost came in and how long it stayed in place. The maximum boost level (as with any chip) is a function of the preload on the wastegate actuator spring and any bleeding of boosted air being done by a Bleeder valve.
