Were the old Thrasher chips high in 2nd and 3rd gear timing? After 2 years I finally talked my buddy into buy ing a T Type. We were told that is was pinging at 15 psi so it had been backed down to 13 to keep from getting KR. I installed a SM last night and @ WOT O2's were 797 and got 1.6* KR on the
1-2 SHIFT. Did another WOT blast and .7 KR O2's @ 747. So I turned the boost up 1 lb and got 0 KR in 1st gear but got 4.8 in 2nd and 3rd. Engine is in good shape and Im thinking its probably just got too high of timing in the chip. I had him order a TT chip and a Gen 2 Translator. Once we get the KR under control, or at least figure out the problem, he ordered a TE44, GBody 3" DP, Dutt Neck, 50# inj, and a Walbro. The hotwire kit is already in the car but on the stock pump. Maybe thats the KR problem at higher boost in the top gears??? Old pump not keeping up..... :dunno:

Thrashers for pump gas are low timing, and the same in all gears. The load on the engine goes up with the gear so it will always be more prone to knock in third than first.
