in my 85 restoration, there are two ports on the throttle body..and on the vac diagrams i got off here. They dont even show these ports....What are they for,and do they tie into anything....one on the side of the IAC and one below it?....

are you talking about the throttle body coolant ports? one on each side of the TB?

Sounds like the coolant ports to me

Those ports are to circulate warm water in the tb to heat up the incoming air. Helpful in cold climates. It is not helpful in making horsepower though. Someone has done you a favor by unhooking and bypassing the coolant lines.

These water lines have a feed/return into a HARDLINE(water) Should be able to see them going towards the TB(smaler hoses) Follow them to your TB, upplug both lines from TB ports. Reroute them into each other.(use a bit thicker hose so it won't pinch)... worm calp them and your done.

You can cap off your TB coolant ports with VAC caps if you like.
