Throttle position sensor setting

Getting ready to install my new engine, setting the throttle position sensor, lowest reading I can get in any position and with the throttle plate set screw all the way out is 1.31, can get 4.80 at wide open throttle. With the sensor off and the sensor lever "bottomed out it will still read .96, is this tps bad? thanks for help.

It takes a little work to get the idle and WOT settings right but it can be done.The little trick is to remove the TPS from the TB and ream out the holes where the screws go thru. Make them bigger so you have more play for adjusting it front to back.

thanks for the reply , however I can take the TPS completly off and with the small lever on the TPS in it's most reduced position it still shows .79, must be a bad TPS.
