Ticking from under hood, poss. coil arcing

While idling, I hear a "tick" from under the hood, thinking it could be the coil arcing? Plug wires are tight. Friend is bringing over new coil pack, Is this a good place to start?

Just guessing, but it sounds like the fuel injectors and it is perfectly normal.

Is the car running good, or is it having problems?
Is this a new sound or just something you noticed?

Need more info.

Could be the "factory standard item" - cracked driver side header.

The easy way to see ignition arc is to open the hood at night, (with the hood light off) and look for the arcing.

Another way that works even in brightest day, with the engine running, run you naked hand along each and every wire, even up around the coil pack.
If there is any arcing, YOU won't have to wonder.

That is after you get up off the ground and get through cussing about finding the arcing.
