Just a goofy thread to kill some time.

After getting the tour to gbodyparts.com I couldn't help but daydreaming about what configuration I would have ordered a T in back in 87, had I not been only 13 at the time. :D So many combo's and configurations, but let me take a shot at it.

-Dark Garnet Red Metallic Limited
-WO2 blackout package
-Burgandy interior
-Pillowtop cloth bench seats, i.e column shift
-Astroroof
-Posi rear
-power windows/door
-Climate Control
-Analog Dash
-Concert Sound
-tilt
-door edge guards

**It was a toss up between the Drk Red Garnet with Burgandy interior, or the Light Sapphire Blue with Blue interior. Dark Red Garnet is my favorite exterior color for these cars, but I love the blue interiors, ultimately the exterior color choice won.

A very close 3rd would have been:

-Black Limited
-Chrome package
-Cornering Lamps
-Blue interior
-Bucket seats
-Astroroof
-Posi rear
-power windows/door
-Climate Control
-Analog Dash
-Concert Sound
-tilt
-door edge guards

**I just rebel against having a black TR, too many of them, LOL.
but the black/blue combo is a sight to see, very sharp combo.

Hindsight would tell me to order a Light Sage Metallic Limited......

Well anyway, here's what I would check off on the order sheet:

- Dark Blue/Light Blue Designers' Accent paint job
- Limited option
- CSII with Graphic Eq deck
- Full chrome trim
- Astroroof
- Grey Cloth 45/45 pillow top seats w/ non-op console
- Cornering and Landau (opera) lights
- tilt, pw, pl, cruise, p antenna, p seat
- G80

2nd choice would be the same options on a Rosewood car but w/ Grey Leather.

Some people might order a car strictly as a drag racer with as little options as possible but I would take the "classy" route.
It brings a whole new meaning to "Going fast with class".

Light Sage was the rarest color for a reason, LOL.

I forgot about all the two-tone versions out there. Hopefully I finally get to a few Buick gatherings this year so I can see a bunch of different combo's out there. I hope mine will stand out, and in a good way, we'll know in about 90 days.

There is ONE GREAT THING about bench seats, and I keep owning bucket seat cars.

Sage Limited for me. I am in love with the full chrome cars now. One day I am going to have a sage drag car, even if I have to make my own.
My grandpa always drove Buicks, and my brother and I thought it would have been cool if he bought a GNX or a turbo regal of any kind and put it in storeage. The closest he had was a 2-tone blue 1981 Regal Limited with a NA 3.8. My mom thinks it is funny I turned out to be a Buick nut.

WH1 fully loaded with grey interior.
GN fully loaded with moonroof.
GN with no options except for concert sound.
And two-three years later-Hardtop leather TTA.

Cant believe no one has mentioned this!

Well since I have a time machine, Im bringing a sports almanac with me ;) . Then with all the money I win betting on the world series and superbowl etc. I would go around and pay crazy crazy money for a few desired GNXs. who knows maybe even #547 and #1 and 2 and 3 and 4 u get the picture. I would also have a ttype in every color, but none would be a t-top car.

Hmmm Well, I'd order two right off the rip. One for moddin and racin, the other for a daily driver. Id get an 87 GN, with as few options as i could. no power anything. then id mod it and it would be my toy. my daily driver would be a bench seat T, in maroon, (with pillow seating if i could) with every available option . Id have the windows slightly tinted, and Id get the digital dash as well. lighted vanity this and that, with opera lights, and the whole shabang. It would be a nice luxury car, with nuts.

(then of course, id buy another gn, and t, and get all the rare options i could. garnet or sage, leather pillow seats, moon roof etc etc and store em for a while, so that i can sell em later)

I would get the same cars all over again. Fully loaded Gray Limited, W02 car with Leather & astroroof & a base strippo white T.

fun car...
dark grey '87 T (2nd color choice is dark blue/grey cloth)
burgundy cloth interior
WO2
hardtop
manual everything
posi (duh)

sunny day driver...
'87 GN
hardtop
manual everything
digital dash
posi

thats all i want!
then i would move to Texas, to get away from the 'saltbelt'
