Just wondering what the average TE-60 equipped car is turning on pump gas and the set-up. Mine is no where near tuned and seems a little weak on top end, so I want to know what to look forward to when I do get into the sweet spot. According to specs, I've got enough fuel, air and injector for 500 hp. Realistically, what is this capable of in the real world? Am I going to have to get alky and turn up the boost to really wake it up or can I make good power with low boost on straight 93?

I went 11.8 @116 on Nittos, pump gas / w alky at 26psi 1.72 60'
Not bad but could have gone quicker if I turned the boost up to 30psi and had slicks with trans brake.
I was runing 50s and a single 340 fp.

Nice, is that with the stock converter as well?

mine also sems a little weak on the top end, which i think i can attribute to the stock downpipe. i just ordered a 3" thdp which will be going in as soon as it gets here. i've gone a best of 12.2 @ 110, 23 psi and drag radials. i could not get m/t or bfg's to hook for my life leaving at anything more than 2-3 psi. i also had a cracked d/s header and some other problems, some big, with that time. i've fixed all the problem (that i know of!) i recently got a pair of m/t e.t. drags which i haven't been to the track with yet. BUT, i say BUT, i've tried them on the street and have been very impressed. i've ran cars that i know for a fact have gone 11.5 - 11.4, and with 7 to 10 lb. launches off of my trans brake, have pulled them by 1-1 1/2 cars! this is without any real tuning on the car. i run a mix of 10 gal. sunoco 94 and 5 gal. of the 116. i never see any k.r. i know i'm probably running way fat, but i'd rather be safe than sorry until i get all the parts on and issues worked out. if you want to run pump gas, definitely go with the alchy. i've heard great reviews about razor's kit. these cars love the upped timing and boost, so you really need the alchy or octane. i would say, with the new d.p., the slicks, and a better tune, i should go low,low 11's. i'm pretty sure the te60 supports more than 500 h.p. i think it's closer to 600-650. good luck with your project. sorry for such a long response! :D :D

11.50s or so on pump gas and a can of 104 in my T-Type. Mods in sig. line. Car has gone 11.20s with this turbo on race gas and more boost.

My buddy Jim just went an 11.42 @117 with a 1.75 60 foot on BFG Drag radials yesterday at Pittsburgh Raceway Park. I know there is a 10 sec pass there with a 1.60 60 foot time. with a TE 60 turbo

checkout turboman 38 on general tech the title is track times results i think this car isnt even woken up yet souds like there is alot of tweakin left GOOD MID 10 SEC CAR

I went 7.23 @ 95 with a TE6031E with a 1.66 60'. The GT6131E I have now did the exact same time with only 1 more mph.

My 7.23 was with 24-25#...27# made no difference cause of my stock unported heads I suspect.

That's my buddy Jim's car. That is the car I was talking about.

There are alot of nice times posted for pump gas in this post. I'm hoping when I have broken in the new engine that I would be able to run high 11s @ about 115+ on straight pump gas and locked converter. I guess if a TE-60 gets close to that, I might be able to make it with my setup.
