I currently run 4* more timing in lower gears (25*) than I do in third (21*) but i run the same amount of boost (27#) in all gears. I use 93 + meth for fuel with 10.7 - 10.9 afr. From your experiences, is this a good use of timing/boost or should I be trying some other combination? Would I be able to 60' better if I lowered the boost off the line?

Seems to all depend on the car, some like timing, others don't. It took a dual nozzle set up on mine to get to 25 degrees timing in 1st & 2nd, and I see plenty of others that can run that on a single nozzle. I'm running 27/28# and can run 23 degrees timing in 3rd/4th. But, I'm using two M15 nozzles, last time at the track (Time in sig) I was still getting some knock with an M10 & an M15 nozzle with only 23 degrees timing 1st&2nd. My wideband with the dump open runs right around the same as what you're showing, 10.7-10.9. Maybe someone with head work will share their experinces as I'm still stock. Oh, and I only wish I could 60' what you do!

you've got that 61 running hard. If you're having trouble hooking you could switch from the .63 to something bigger and swap low end for some more mph up top. That's a cheap alternative otherwise you're looking at ramping in boost if it's hitting to hard. That's more $$$.

FatGnat--That is a suggestion to really consider but would it help since I mainly run the 1/8 mile? Thanks.

Try adding more timing, if the car picks up then add more. If it keeps going faster keep adding timing. If it slows down, you're done. FWIW some guys run 25+ degrees of timing up top.

If it was me I'd probably leave the tune alone and work on the launch. You will 60' better leaving on the most boost the track/tires will hold.

v6power,i don't know what tires your on,but maybe focus on the traction by running full slicks and adding suspention parts.i've run 31degrees on pump gas and meth but my turbo is alot smaller than yours.i personally wouldn't run more timing on your combo and dropping the boost will reduce the airflow slowing you down+the larger housing will soften the low end getting you out of the hole slower.work the suspention, get a full slick, take some weight off, its cheaper than a motor inmo.

I will try one more degree of timing and then try to improve on launch. Right now I leave around 2,800 rpm (2-3# boost) and still can get 1.6x 60'.

Any suspension mods? I need to do something I don't 60' well at all either.Average in the mid 1.6s 11-12 psi launches:rolleyes: What tires are you using and size?

Suspension mods: BMR lower control arms, ATR rear sway bar, Bilstein shocks, and original, 55,xxx mile coil springs. I also have an air bag on the ps, but I don't air it up.

Tires: MT ET Street drag radials (255/60-15).

I have gone a best of 1.504 60', so the car is capable of launching well. The problem is the driver.
