i have put in an timing chain in a 87 type t with 144000 miles and never been into . now the boost out does the rpm but if you gas it slowly it dont run to bad , maybe cam sensor not set right ? also have put another chain just to be safe and still does the same thing ,( need help) thanks for any replies

Mike.......I too changed my timing chain and gears in my T-type only because I wanted the stock unit Outta there! I bought a Poston double roller set up, but I have to admit, the car never ran as well after the install ??

I checked the cam sensor a dozen times {It was OK} but still cannot figure what is up wtih the car.

My guess is that the timing chain and gears are just a TAD bit outta sync from the factory unit......causing a slight out of timing issue with then engine.

What I see is MORE RPMS before max boost is hit.....

If it was an easier job, I would go back and put a NEW GM unit back in the damn thing!!
