Looks like it, to me, too. Could well have been cracked during the install. Usually the broached keyway is the culprit. A stress riser in the corner of the slot, does it. From what I see in the pics, this is what happened here.:eek:
I had 1 that fell off when I made the initial install. Took the assy back, and never used them again.:mad:
I used the Rolmaster on my stage engine.. no problems, but I didn't have megaton valve springs, either.
Got the heads off, yet? I'd be looking for bent valves, etc.
 
I would also check the snout of the crank and make sure it's straight. When the balencer broke it had to be in a hell of a bind. Good luck with it. Jon Hanson
