Can some one post pics of comparison between the gnx brace and tubular brace?

Here are both board vendors that sells both types of rear seat brace:

Kirban thoughts

We sell both versions the 4 tube style which has been around probably for dozen years or so same one we sel to other companies and we also sel the GNX one that is discussed in this thread...whether you weld it or bolt it is your choice point being either version will make a world of difference in stiffening up your car....if welding it be darn careful your seats and carpet is out of the way. The GNX style brace is a few bucks more...both can be seen on our website.

You do have to remove your rear seat for either install and be agile enough to get in and out of the trunk several times to do the project. The end results are one you can feel no matter which you go with.

Same time don't overlook installing what is referred to as the 4 or 6 missing lower body bushings....

For the Tin Man I would bolt it in and also use structural adhesive.
I have been thinking alot about how I am going to install this GNX style rear seat brace I think I am going to use Helicoil nut inserts with the supplied bolts and 3M#8115 panel bonding adhesive instead of welding. The 3M 8115 will be stronger than welding and it provides added corrosion protection and the Helicoil nut inserts with the provided bolts to hold everything in place as the adhessive dries and it will look some what factory when it is painted. After I am done I will try to post pics .Thanks, Kyle.

Won't the head of the nut insert head prevent the brace from sitting flush with the existing structure? I don't know what the thickness specs of the adhesive allow, but I thought it called for the two pieces to be clamped flush. It may be a non-issue, just putting it out there.

The nut inserts that I use are steel and are just about flush mounted so there won't be any issues with the panel bonding adhesive. Also the proper way to use this adhesive is to grind both mating surfaces with a 24 grit disc then spread the adhesive evenly over both the mating surfaces, then clamp and/ or bolt together. Been using this product for years with zero issues, it's unbelievable how really strong this adhesive is when used properly.
