Im bout to get new tires and have heard to tell the tire guys to mount with the rim up side down so it would not damage the rim , thoughts ?

If gn wheels yes yes. Reason is the drop center groove is in the opposite side of the rim which a typical wheel will have. The drop center gives slack when mounting the tire so they don't have to try and stretch the tire over the rim.

I know this is a old post, but I'm about to have new tires installed and wanted to ask if the install went ok with this info?

Hey Man , The install went fine , I really don't know if it makes any difference just tell the tire guy to be careful , Good Luck
