Tlink V3 vs V4 hardware

I just bought a used Turbo-Link that was supposed to have the 4.0 upgrade. The way that I understand it, the V3 hardware will work with V4 software on the Buicks so how can I tell if my hardware is V3 or V4 without hooking it up to a Typhoon,etc?

V4.0 will have a GREEN LED on the electronics module.

The ALDL end will have 4 pins in it (vs. 3 pins in v3.0)

V4.0 software works with either v3 or v4 hardware.
