Tomorrow I go to the Pine derby track

Hitting the Pine derby track with my son for scouts.

MAN I can't belive how people will cheat to get a win.
I saw guys on ebay selling cars with a garantee placment in the derby races.

We built ours according to the tips on the instruction sheet.

I used to do that when I was little I don't recall ever having the urge to jump on ebay for any extra support.

My son could care less about winning the race. He just wants to have the coolest car. Our Pack/Den does the Best in show and my son has won that for the past two years.

This year we made an Iphone car with raised white letter wheels and last year we made a Wii remote car.
My youngest starts scouts next year so I will have to split the focus to both of them. The Iphone car actually had a jack for the earbuds. A band saw and Dremel will do magic.

We have our Derby tomorrow also. No cheating.... just a few "tricks of the trade!!" We have to do final assembly in the morning. We won First place last year and second the year before. Our pack just got a new aluminum track with the timer and everything. Pretty cool. Good luck.

I'm glad when I was young the internet was NOT around. How lame. I just cut, painted, and installed my car to my fav. vehicle at the time. CHEATERS SUCK!! ---

We did ours in late feb, 1st time ever & my son got 1st in his pack & 3rd overall out of 50 cars. We go to regionals in april. Here is our car.

It walked away from the other three cars every race, got 1st every time. Was the third fastest car there!
