Tony Dequick, CAS warning....takes money, no replies to email or phone..no product!

Sent Tony Dequick an email on the 12th of the month, inquiring about a front mount for my TTA,(i got one from him about 3yrs ago on my last TTA) He told me he would have one ready to go out the next day (ha!) I told him his phone number on his website www.chargedairsystems.com was always busy. He emailed me back another number, I called and left a message and he called me right back just like he said. (when he wants your money, he replies quickly). I talked to him on the phone and he said he could have one out the next day, which would have been the 13th a wed. So I went ahead and ordered it, I asked him to make sure that it would go out the next day, he said yes it would and he would email me the tracking numbers...Late wed night i have no email and no tracking numbers...I email him, he tells me it will go out thursday the 14th....(of this month)...that is the last reply to anything I have got from him....no emails, no replies to my phone calls, nothing....kinda typical of him. I've probably left 5-7 emails, and phone messages, I told him through these messages on friday to forget the whole thing, called and emailed sat, sun, mon, and tue....told him each time to cancel the order, because he didn't do what he said he would do.....and guess what....on wed the 20th at 453am, he runs my credit card. I have emailed him several times since then, and called, no replies, he's not even man enough to email me with any info whatsover. He has over a thousand bucks of mine..... What a sorry way to run a business, much less treat anybody, even a repeat customer. Thinking of flying up there since I can fly for free anyways and getting a recredit back to my card in person!

Our family knows EXACTLY how you're feeling...VERY SIMILAR situation over the past 14 months with another scumbag.

You're VERY wise to have used a CC. Cancel the purchase this instant, if not done already.

Yup cancel or dispute the credit car charge.
Tell them no item arrival & you want credit back.

Let the credit card company try calling TDQ & see if they can get him.
 
As a business owner myself, I can tell you that you are protected by your CC company. As mentioned above, if you have not already, contact the CC company and dispute the charges, state your case, and trust me the transaction will be reversed almost immediatley back to your account. Then he in turn will have to dispute the reversal himself, BUT, if there has been no receipt of goods by you, Mr. Dequick will not have a leg to stand on.........Ask me how I know this:rolleyes: , on second thought, don't:o
 
This thread is about CAS, let's keep it that way.

If you have a problem with another vendor, start your own thread. Just remember to give facts, like will continue to be done here.
 
I have been on this board coming up on a year now. I see from your avatar thingy that you have been on here since Nov. Now while I do sympathize with you that he has your money, are you saying with ALL the posts and threads that are on this forum alone, that you had no idea you were playing Russian Roullete by ordering from Tony? There was a sticky for over a month with people who were having problems with Tony. Again, you got my sympathies, but you're probably not gonna' get alot of support. Just alot of "told you so's".

Very simple way to put a stop to all this!!!
Have it shipped COD---It/ll cost a few dollars more but a lot less headaches.
 
Now look, don't forget, this guy makes reeaally nice stuff.......so just because he's a little slow on delivery.......doesn't that make it all worth it? :rolleyes:
 
Anyone one who has been on this board for any length of time knows the games this guy plays. I can't imagine how anyone would order anything from him with his bad reputation. From personal experience alone I would never call or e-mail him for anything.

Check with Cotton on the TTA piece. He had mentioned about 8-10 months ago that he was doing some work with a customer's TTA and trying to fab a f/m. Maybe he has somehting you could use.
 
You mean that a person can place an order COD on this type of thing? I would be very suprised if any of these vendors would ship anything COD.
If you can order COD, why does everybody submit their credit cards and have to wait for their products when they do?
I would like to hear more on this subject.
This would seem to be a very simple solution to a lot of order versus received time frame problems.

i know one vendor that will send it COD- at least when i ordered my scanmaster and PTE54 from them, my buddy had it shipped COD and i went and got the money order from the post office-

it was just easier for my friend to do it this way i guess, since no money exchanged thru his shop-

Yes, but Lee I got a CAS sheet metal intake delivered COD and you cannot inspect the package before taking possesion. To everybodies surprize it was missing the fuel rails.

Well, after $250.00 spent at Kinsler and more lies from Tony when they would be shipped, got my intake fixed.

Most famous quote from Tony:"Well, Bruce cancelled a front mount intercooler order, and I had nothing else to send." Intersting comment condering he had my fuel rails I paid for to send..... This is when I knew I had no chance.

I suggest you don't listen to a word he says and just cancel the CC transaction and buy from another known good vendor.

Hey Tony, if you are reading this, you can send the $250.00 to Bruce Aldred at Aggressive Performance, and again it is pretty sad to know that you would include a supporting vendor in your endevours of thievery. Again, I gave you more chances to make it right, you can blame nobody but yourself for the path you are on now.
 
I know first hand with this looser. Do a search on this board under will cas ruin my Christmas. Your hair will fall out.

To ad we finally installed this Radiator yesterday direct drop in. What a joke!!!!!!:mad: I had to grind down the Core Support to get it in, the top plate that holds the radiator down does not fit right, the fittings for the Trans lines where he welded, the weld dripped into the threads therfore when it was finally installed it leaked, it took a few tries and some pipe sealant to stop the leak. It was just a JOKE. Everyone raves of his products:mad:
 
Yeah...that CAS rad was nowhere near a "drop in". We even had to get out the BFH for a few swings and grind the fan mounting tab down and it was still hitting at the top.

Getting intentionally ripped by reptilian skanks like this (and we have been, to the tune of $965.60, 14 months ago) is really disheartening & discouraging...to say the least.

It's worse than sickening/nauseating to see anything less than a "ZERO-TOLERANCE" approach to these sleazy scuzzoid BS-clowns.

Sadly, all too many could care less (until it happens to them) and others even become part of their loyal enabling "excuse-squad", irregardless of their outrageous & deliberate Customer Abuse.

It's really heartbreaking that a teen-ager WILL build time for shoplifting a candy bar from K-Mart, but a punk in Pulaski is still laughing about ripping us for nearly a thousand dollars!!

Our genuine compassion, as well as our outraged indignation, is always on the side of the honest & decent people who are (& have been) "stung" by these sociopathic deviants.

How can any sane & honorable person "justify" treating a paying Customer like this?

There is NO excuse for abuse, whether it be lies and/or theft!!!
 
The board should have a Zero policy for this, vendor or not. It is not right. :mad:

I know J-Rod was trying to clean up some old issues for CAS. My take is you are a business person, handle it yourself or sell hot-dogs on the boardwalk. There are still a few vendors lurking around here that are still tanking people with promises of parts shipped and nothing comes through. That is why now COD baby or have a nice day. :rolleyes:
