A couple weeks ago i was testing my map sensor. My power logger wasn't matching boost pressure. While i was putting pressure on my MAP with new pressure/vacuum gauge my alky pump was pumping .By the time i figured out what the noise was,i had pumped at least half my reservoir of meth in the up pipe/moter.Being my first inter cooled turbo car,i figure if i don't start for a few days it'll evaporate.Three days later,I start it up.Bang!Big backfire.Instantly i sayed oh $hit. With a capital $.
I took off the orange computer wire to spin motor to evacuate alky from motor. The car ran.i thought thats weird.Anyways, the sound coming from the starter wasn't good.So i replaced starter.new mini starter.Still doesn't sound good.i looked at the flywheel while my kid spun it over flywheel looks ok.any ideas?my main question is can i remove flywheel without pulling tranny out?Car runs fine, just has a kind of a miss sound during crank.
By the way the voltage to my map was 5.3v.thats why my map was reading 3-4 #to high on my power logger. Thanks to support from alky control. He explained every # of boost is .11 volt.i need a 5v starting rate.Im supposed to wire voltage from tps power to map .i learned a few things on these last few weeks.Kinda pist off at myself.Oh well.Coulda been worse might had to use my new chrome extinguisher.

thats about the least likely thing that would have occurred

you risked hydro locking the engine
. it could have spit the gasket, bent a rod , broke a crank or cracked a piston
who knows you still may have done any or all of the above

my advice ...do a compression check

should have pulled the plugs out and disconnect ignition module before cranking to clear any liquid

oh and a backfire like that is the most likely way to pop a map sensor and make it useless

i was lucky, car runs perfect still.its the way it sounds when it turns over.do i have to pull tranny off block to pull flywheel,or can i push back torque converter

trans has to come out for flywheel

as for running ok , youd be surprised how well it can run even with only 4 cylinders working

a compression test and a look at the plugs is in order
