Hey,

Just got back from Reynolds and I have some questions. My combo: TE60, MSD 50s, MJ17 row, THDP, PAC, LS1 MAF, Trans +, Extender 23*/21*, NOS nozzle with 0.030" jet.

RUN 1

RUN 2

RUN 3

RUN 4

Pay attention to MAF readings, On RUN 1 I was spraying too much alky and the MAF is all over the place. On all the others, it looks like too much down low and again on the big end. My other thought is that I am bouncing the pump off of the pressure switch and that pulsation (on/off) is messing with the MAF numbers, I could feel the surging in 3rd gear.

Does anyone have any ds runs with the extender chip that I could look at? I may end up bypassing the pressure switch to get rid of the pulsation, I think I am giving up a few mph because of it.

Thanks,
MIke

Great to see you out there this weekend, your MAF numbers are air going through the motor. As far as them going higher and lower.. strange.

I would suggest a smaller nozzle rather than lower pressure. The pulsations from the pump dont affect surging. If you see knock retard, then you have too little. Too much alky can reduce your top MPH. As does too much fuel. Bypassing the pressure switch only increases output from the pump.

The BMcomputersouce direct scan bulletin board has some runs..I'll see if I can post that addy latter today.

Maybe try an M5 or M7 with higher pressure see if that makes it better. Give me a call, i'll get em to you.

I never did put that 0.020" jet in, that may be too small, and I had a 5hr drive home on Sunday.

it looks like too much down low and again on the big end

I did notice some boost creep at around the 1000ft mark, and the tracking for boost to alky may not be linear and when I started making big boost the PAC sprayed too much alky and the car surges.

Oh well, I need to get that T-link harness hooked up and looking at boost vs MAF readings.

Good seeing you Julio.

Mike

Try the smaller nozzle and leave the pressure cranked on the pump. In other words let the pump do the work. If you wanna try some of the mist nozzles instead of the NOS nozzle, let me know. The mist nozzle hole is 3/8 so it shouldnt require much if any changing. I run the same controller as yours on my car and have my knob typically in the two o'clock setting. That NOS nozzle may be too big and flows too much when you put pressure behind it drowning the motor.

Drop in the smaller jet and get it where the gain knob is half way so you have flexibility to increase or reduce.

I got here at 7 pm last nite..so I hear ya on the drive.. BTW..not too shaby 112 MPH in street trim and 500 miles away.

Post back with the smaller jet size..

;)
